With the beautiful beaches of Port Stephens boast a number of great activities that you can do while on holidays. From surfing, swimming, parasailing, kite surfing, jet skiing and more you can really have some fun out on the water. There is also kayaks and canoes that you can jump in to, to cruise along the calm river waters or go exploring one of the many lakes systems that snakes their through this region.

Horse riding along the beach or through the country side is a great way to spend the day as is whale watching and dolphin watching which is a great activity that the little ones really enjoy! And for the avid fisherman you can go deep sea fishing to see what you can reel in, and for anyone that loves to go scuba diving there are some beautiful coral reefs to explore and discover.

The golf courses in the region can provide an excellent round of golf for people who love a hit or two and with some great pubs and clubs within Port Stephens why not cap it off with a refreshing ale or two to quench the thirst. Dining in Port Stephens is certainly something not to be missed as you can taste test some of the most mouth water delights! From freshly caught seafood to fine local produce, local chefs will prepare a treat to be savoured.

A trip to the neighbouring Hunter Valley is a must do as well, with plenty of cellar doors to be visited and numerous award winning wines to be tried. You can pop into one of the local restaurants along the way and even take a tour of a brewery while you are here.

There is bushwalking and hiking to do through the National Parks and rainforests and bird watching with many fascinating and interesting birds that call this region home. Some of the states greatest walks are right on your doorstep, with plenty of boardwalks and great walking tracks to embark upon.

There is sightseeing, shopping and plenty of entertainment from weekend markets, local bands and stalls all within Port Stephens and with attractions such as Stockton Sand Dunes, Sygna Shipwreck, Tilligerry Peninsular and the Koala Habitat to be seen, you will not find it hard to fill in a day or two.

Or you can simply just kick back and relax and laze upon one of the many pristine beaches that ribbon this part of the coastline. Port Stephens is the sort of destination where you can do a little or a lot, it is all up to you!
